Post Natal Pilates
Pilates is an excellent form of exercise for post natal women, mainly because it helps tone the abdominals
Though we can't all look like Madonna a few months after childbirth, exercise can help to tone up the stretched muscles, promote good circulation and help with posture. Pilates can help post natal women to:
Strengthen the back
Improve posture
Strengthen the pelvic floor muscles
De-stress and relax after hard day
The Pelvic Floor Muscle
Weakening of the pelvic floor muscle is common after childbirth. The pelvic floor is not actually a 'floor' it is a hammock shaped muscle which supports your bladder and bowel. For most people the pelvic floor muscle can be strengthened through exercise.
